No, we are not adopting another baby. This trip is for enjoyment. My friend Eryl and I are off on an Asian adventure while Daddy is home with the girls. For the record, he was the one who was instant on the trip and seems to be managing just fine without me - I know, it's hard to believe.
Our flight to Vancouver was fine. Once there, we hopped the Skytrain, went out for dinner downtown by the ocean, and then headed back to the airport. The flight to China was a half an hour late, but uneventful otherwise. I did not sleep much, but did manage to watch a fair bit of TV.
We arrived in Beijing very late, grabbed a cab and got to the hotel at 3am Thursday morning, perfect for sleeping in a couple of very comfortable beds, highly unusual for China.
