December 21st - Dinner with Aunt Arlene

My Good friend Arlene, with whom I taught with many years ago, has turned into a great "Aunt" to Amy. Arlene was going back to Newfoundland for Christmas, so we decided to have an early Christmas dinner with her before she left.

Arlene brought a mysterious orange bag that just had to be opened. Inside were . . . presents!

Arlene's gift to Amy was a pink machine, otherwise known as a CD player. Apparently, it was very complicated to start as it took two adults and a small child to figure out how to work the thing!
Now we can hear Amy's favourite Christmas Carol Jingle Bells in the house all the time, accompanied by some jingle bells of course. Yes, she loves her Pink Machine!

Halle got the same 'Pink Machine'. She might even have an extra copy of some Backyardigan music around for Amy...
